Aftermarket TV tuner addition...

Hi all,

Have just joined as I'm looking to buy a Q7...

My old X5 had the TV function and, altho it's a gimick, I loved it! Finding a used Q7 that meets my other criteria AND has the TV is really limiting my options. I've been told (albeit by someone trying to flog one to me!) that if you have the right Sat Nav / MMI hardware, it is possible to just have a software upgrade to get the TV/Freeview function. Surely this is baloney?

Indeed it is. You can add the TV function, but you do need to purchase additional hardware.

From Audi? Ebay? Kufatec? There are a few suppliers who can give you what you need.

Prices vary wildy depending if you buy new or second hand parts.
