View Full Version : s4 diagnostic tool/s ?

hi all, i'd like to get a diagnostic-tool/code reader for my s4 4.2 v8 [2003] i want to be able to diagnose and "clear" faults once fixed......looking on ebay there are devices rangind from under a tenner upto 1500 quid..... i have no idea which device i need and obviously the cheaper the better :beerchug:
any ideas which device i need?

Vag-com is what you want. Check out the Vag-com thread on this forum and check out Ross Tech. Ross Tech sell the correct cable and software that you'll need. Its cost a few hundred quid but well worth. For the most part the stuff you get from eBay will not let you clear faults / reprogram.

Hi Zollaf, had a stroke earlier this year (ironically on the way from from church going to to get the Sunday papers). not doing anything much at the Min, messing around with old Lister and Petter engines. This site has changed a bit, everyone seems VERY tolerant and nice, no DSG? He has me off fags using his recommended electronic one.

2 old ladies at a bus stop were confronted by a flasher, one had a stroke and the other one couldn't quite reach...
