Hi all
I have a MK IV golf 1.8T and at the moment it's a nightmare, can anyone help please?
Car runs fine most of the time but once i hit 4300 rpm it seems to stop accelerating and feels like it's gonna die, then after for around 10-15 miles it runs really poor, stalling at idle and awfull acceleration. Before you know it everything is fine again until next time!
I was advised that this was probably a faulty DV after connecting VAG-COM i found fault 17705 (pressure drop between turbo and throttle valve - intermittent), I have since replaced the DV with a new one from Forge Motorsport and still have the problem.
I had it checked over at VW before changing the DV and they could not find anything wrong apart from the coil wire harness which had numerous bare wires, this has also been replaced, still the same problem.
PLEASE, PLEASE any ideas?
