Oil level after service

We just had our 2nd service on our 08 plate diesel TDI Touran, and the oil level appears to be above the dipstick max level indicator. I have attached a pic of the approx position.

I know these dipsticks are really difficult to read, but do you think this is acceptable or could it create some long term damage. Should I ask the garage to drain some oil off.

personally, i would ask them to, just in case. hopefully they have a suction tool to suck some out the dipstick tube.
