Your car is awkward as “no ‘fi’ function possible” is stated on the system for your car in relation to the wheel bearing housing. You have to see what your housing is marked as.

If it is

8E0 407 242 H
8E0 407 242 K
8E0 407 242 C
8E0 407 242 E
8E0 407 242 H

Then the new part is 8E0 407 254 F which then went to 8E0 407 254 E

If it is marked

8E0 407 242 G
8E0 407 242 J
8E0 407 242 F
8E0 407 242 D
8E0 407 242 B

Which is also 8E0 407 254 E

So that makes it rather confusing and it is the same situation with the second VIN you quote.

You need to know the number cast into your housing and the one from the donor car, for a new part it is pretty easy in being 8E0 407 254 E but for used parts I think the used part needs to fall into the same group as on your car as listed above.

Thanks!

So is there some difference between 8E0407254C and 8E0 407 254 E

8E0 407 254 E replaces all other numbers, it is quite confusing but if you want to buy a used part, as far as I can tell it must fall into a matching group of numbers.

I found a suitable wheel bearing housing. What kind of job it is to change?

Fine if you can get the top bolt out, a pain if you can’t.
