Squeaky seat on A6

I have a 2001 A6 and the front drivers seat has developed a nasty squeak on the back left hand side-almost as though there is a spring going boing behind the recliner lever.very irritating wehn going over uneven roads as it sounds like an old bed!

can anyone help me please-if it means taking the seat out-has anyone done this?and how?
