View Full Version : Please Help Windows won't go up or down with keyfob?
As above (title) windows wont go up or down. I took the battery out for about 15 mins, as I thought the Airbag light will stay off for good.
So now whenever I hold on the lock/unlock the windows don't react.
Any ideas?

Mine have stoped too, I think the whole thing is a pretty tenuous feature anyway, it seems to lose it readily. I think you need to use vcds to re-code the whole thing.

Hi mate, i think it tells you how to reset them in your owners manual, I think you hold the window button till window is closed then relase and press it again for 1 sec. ??

He's talking about the windows with keyfob tings Steve - remotely, using the keyfob rather than the switches in the door console (But you're right, pull windows up and hold for 5 sec, then let go and re-pull up for a further 5 secs - I'm not sure if you let got of the switch before holding for 5 secs, so I do both!)

Hi mate, i've had to reset them before on an 07 model and the instructions are in the handbook. i know it's an earlier model but i would think it's the same principal..

i'm having a problem with the keyfob closing the windows too.
What did you do to fix it?

After a day or 2 it went back to normal! My advice will be to keep on doing it atleast 4 to 5 times during that day, by keeping your hand on the lock/unlock button. It shoud hopefully work, or try holding down the elec windows switches on the driver side.
It worked when I did it :)
HTH!!
