Hi

anyone knows how to grease front brake calipers? Is this a hard DIY job and can you do it without removing the caliper from the brake disc?

thanks

You will need to dismount the caliber from the carrier for this. It's held on by 2 screws that attach to the slide pins. As I recall, you'll need a 17mm socket and a 15mm open-end spanner for this.

Once you have the caliber on hand, remove the pads and clean them up with a wire brush. Then use COPPER PASTE to lube the parts of the caliber that touch the pads. Make sure you don't get any paste on the pads' friction surfaces!

Then take out the slide pins, clean them and lube them with TEMPERATURE RESISTAN VASELINE. Copper paste is not good here since it can gunk up and freeze the pins over time.
