Polo dash lights

I've got a polo 1.4 1997 one of the dashboard lights has failed. Anyone know how to get the trim off and which bulbs they are

probably done the job by now, but according to mr haynes,for models prior to 1988,you remove two screws to allow removal of the surround.
Unscrew two screws holding the panel,gently pull panel towards you.
Reach behind and disconnect the multi plug.
Remove the whole panel.
Remove defective bulbs by twisting off.

Models "1988 on" may involve removal of steering wheel and shroud to gain access to a further two screws holding the surround.

Typical I have the latter.

You can purchase different colour LED bulb kits to change the appearance of the dash panel. They are available at the usual well known a~ction sites but I have not yet tried them.
