T4 1.9TD engine replacement

Hi there,

I own a 1997 T4 transporter 800 special ive converted to a camper .Problem is the engines clocked over 300,000 now and id like to replace the engine with a recon'd engine.Im really stuggling to find someone in the west midlands to do the work.Im not really that mechanically minded so im hoping someone can point me towards someone local who isnt giong to rip me off!!!! Any suggestions??? HELP!!!!

you either need to find an engine rebuilder local, or use someone like ivor searle or vega large national companies with a good rep.
