I have a 2005 Passat 130 TDI highline that has covered 142,000 miles.
The alarm goes off when raining at all times of the night/day. I had a read around on the forum and came across several other threads detailing this problem. It seems that the problem is caused by water getting into the passenger foot well and the wiring.
Problem number two.
One headlight stopped working about 6 months ago and now the other stopped working. So i figure bulbs and go buy some and set about installing them. What a pain that is! Well with both bulbs in place I turn the lights on and nothing!
I checked the fuses and they all seem fine.
Could the water in the foot well be causing the headlight problem?
