Strange "rubbing" on clutch

Hiya,

I have noticed over the last couple of days that when I engage the clutch there's a bit of rubbing, like the pedal is catching on something. Should I be worried?

Does it only happen when the pedal is on its way up ?

Have been away hence the lack of reply. It was doing it both ways, but has now stopped.

I have found that the drivers side mat slips and that the clutch pedal catches on it. I have to move it back a little now and then.
