Hi guys this is my first post and i'm sorry if this has been posted before.
I've got a 98 TDI estate with over 100k on the clock and it seems to have no power. Just after the engine has been started when I drive off its got next to no power at all unless I give it a good hard rev up to 5000 and then although its better it still lacks the power it should have.
To drive its simular to a petrol car thats got a dodgy spark plug or lead.
I'm not a mechanic so i'll have to take it to a garage but i'd like to know if it sounds like an expensive problem and with this type of problem am I best taking it to a VW dealer or would any garage be able to sort it.
