Hello,
I have an Audi A6 V8 4.2l (2000).
Whareas I was on a road which goes up much, I had an important rattling in the engine and a cloud of smoke to the back, then the oil warning lighted and the engine blocked. All in 5 seconds...
No oil on the top after we open the covers of cylinder head.
Piston n°2 was completly mashed, and the rod broken.
One of the 2 screw of the this rod was unscrew (8mm) and we could withdraw it with the hand . The second was blocked, and the bearing was completly damaged.
The others was oiled and little bit eroded.
Oil pump was ok but with many small parts of the bearing damaged.
Somebody knows other problem like this, about screw of the rod on this model ?
