Hi ive got an a4 cab sport and this fault code has appered. I can open the roof only about 3" and it stops and this code comes up. I recently have replaced the rear storage unit and the top lock switch. Will i have to do a manual reset now for it to work?
Hope someone can help, many thanks.

Possible Causes
Automatic Roof Switch Positions implausible
Micro Switch faulty
Possible Solutions
Check Micro Switches
Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
Special Notes
When found in Audi A4 (8E): Automatic Roof (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/index.php/Audi_A4_%288E%29_Automatic_Roof)
Check MVB 001 & 002, 006 & 007 for plausibility
Adaptation

Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) OK
To reset the switch positions, save a new value of 1.

Once you have reset the switch positions via vagcom, open the roof manually all the way back to fully closed and then put the roof back up
This will tell the ECU the correct values for all the switches when it opens and closes
If you dont know how to undo manually have a look on the right handside of your dashboard there is a key next to the fusebox, this will undo the roof at the front, there is also a keyhole between your backseats on the underside which opens the back panel
its best if you have 2 people as the roof is heavy and somebody needs to lift the back panel aswell as holding the roof !!
Good luck
