View Full Version : Brightness of the halogen lights in the A4 B8 vs the A4 B6

Hello all,

My new A4 turned up this week. I went for the bulk standard halogen lights. I have a 2003 A4 as well (well, my wife has that now ;) ).

The brightness of the halogens in the new car seems miles better than that of the B6.

Is this my fertile imagination or is it the fact that on one of the (many) occasions where the B6 has blown headlight bulbs, I've had some fitted that aren't quite as good?

More to the point, what can I do to improve the lighting at the front of the B6? Is there any point of doing likewise to the B8? Don't get me wrong, the new one is fine and a million times better than the old B6 in this respect, but I'm all for improvements if they are there to be had.

Thanks

Gary

Philips X-Treme bulbs are a good start, but if you are saying that the lighting is already very good I'd imagine bulbs of this calibre are already an OEM fit on the B8 but deffo fit them to your B6.

I know that the OEM bulbs on my mrs MK5 Golf are very bright and comparable to the X-Treme bulbs fitted on my B7 A4.
