Mayonaise in oil cap

Hi,

Just bought a 1999 2.0 8v Ibiza GTi Cupra Sport, done 89k. there appears to be some gunk in the oil. The car is running very well, and there is no oil in the coolant, and no gunk on the dipstick. The car appears to have had the engine steam cleaned, could this have caused this, or is it just early signs of headgasket faliure? thanks in advance.

ADY and AGG engines are prone to mayo in the breather. Check the pipe and hose from the block to the head and then to the intake hoses for being soft or even split underneath where you can’t see it. If it is OK and it is not using water, stop worrying about it.
