seat leon 1.9tdi power backs off

i live in the cotswolds and climbing the escartment -about 2 miles up to about 900 ft-i find that about half way up the power backs off and the car goes into a limp home mode-over the top the power improves-i have no dash warning lights and no smoke from exhaust-any ideas.i bought the car from auction its a SE with 80000 miles-ive done nothing except change the oil and the turbo works ok- and it drives beautifully :D

diag test for any faults
it could be air mass related

thanks for that-i did have a diag check but nothing showed up-air mass was mentioned as a cause by the mechanic-he got rid of my airbag light when the machine was plugged in !!!!:approve:
