I've just fitted a 2.0 8V motor into a 1.6 Mk1 of which I used the 1.6 engine mounts, carburettor and inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, gearbox etc.
I needed an adapter ring for the 1.6 distributor, and had to use the 2l's distributor gear.
My problem is the fuel pump ... I have been using an electric fuel pump or should I say pumps :mad: as they don't seem to last :mad: so I'm looking for an adapter plate for the 2.0l motor to accept the 1.6l's fuel pump ... does anyone know where to get them or does someone have a template for me to have one made?
