thinking of getting a Scout

Morning all

I've been thinking for a while now of getting a Scout and sellnig my passat.

The quesion is what are these like as a 4x4. What are they like is snow etc. I'm not planning off roading in it but i do spend a lot of time in the country which the passat is too low for and i am sick of scrapping the bottom and worrying about it.

Any comments are much apprciated.

I have a 4 X4 octavia which I have had for 4 years I am an avid caravanner and pitch up in fields etc. I have had no problems pulling a 1300kg caravan through some ankle deep waterlogged mud!!
This winter I have had no problems with snow and ice even driving through 30cm up a 1:4 slope in the lakes.
I have fitted Vredestain Quantac 3 all season (these are not great knobbly things but look like standard tyres are quite, great in the dry/wet)
Go for it and have some fun

Ps it you fit these tyres get the correct pressures from the manufactors

Thanks for the reply, sounds perfect for what i need. I'm off to view one this weekend at a skoda dealership. will let you know how it goes.
