I have an A4 Avant 1.9TDI and i have an on going problem with brake light bulbs. At best a bulb will last maybe 4 months but more often they last 4 - 5 weeks.

I have tried all brands Bosch - supermarket cheapoes and there is no difference. I have tried changing both when one blows and still have this problem --- Anyone any ideas?:1zhelp:

Check the bulb holder for security against vibration, also the lamp.Ensure the connector plug and the wires in it are secure and grip the terminals of the lamp, and the earth connections are clean and tight.

LED bulbs will throw a fault unless resisitors are fitted....
