Sharan indicators / reversing lights

My battery just gave up the ghost (very suddenly) and having replaced it now my indicators don't work.

I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Any ideas?? (1997 1.9 TDI)

Also the hazard lights do not work. To all the technical experts out there - no indicators/hazzard lights - what could it be?

Any help would be much appreciated.
