hi guys,

the battery on my dads car is not running at 100%.

The car needs a set of jump leads to get it fired up in the morning. It will start up on the first turn of the key after the glow plug lights have gone out when connected to another battery via leads.

If you try starting it without leads on a morning, the engine will keep on turning over and wont start until the battery dies about 20 seconds later.

Once thar car has been started in the morning it will start up again all day long without issues. I think it is the battery as it doesnt seem to have enough power to be able to start the car cold, as this is when its drawings the most power.

Car is question is a 2.5 tdi 5 cylinder quattro. Battery is located under back seat.

What batter is required in terms of cca requirements and also ah requirements?

thanks

make sure you get the right one as space is limited and the seat could catch fire if its too tall.. just google it for the specs... i think its an 019 about 700 cca on mine
