Sharan Radiator Fan Constantly On !

I have an 03 130 TDI Sharan that has developed a problem in that the radiator cooling fan comes on after about a mile and stays on until the engine is switched off. The Sharan has been parked up for about a month awaiting driveshaft replacement due to vibration (this is another problem but fixable only due to high mileage 170K ). I have read other posts relating to Audis but have not seen an answer to this problem. Anybody got an answer to this.
