audi a4 1.8 20v, towing weight.

evening all,
have brought a 1998 audi 1.8 20v avant, could or does anyone tow a van of 1085kg weight using one of these cars? i know they are rated up to 1500kg braked, but just thought i'd ask first.

I've just bought a Passat B5.5 with a towing weight of 1500kg and plan to tow my car trailer which weighs 1320kg. I have no qualms about this so 1085kg you won't even notice it was there! lol Mind you I have towed this trailer with over a dozen different types of cars in its life!
