We own a 51 mark 4 golf estate, thanks to this forum I was able to sort out the rearwasher leak last week -many thanks.
anyone that has had this problem will know washer water leaks in to the lock system and fools the alarm to trigger at random, very anonying.
We have repaired the leak and dried out the panel and replaced it yesterday
Now today after a 5 mile drive the car was parked and the alarm went off within 5 mins, tonight it has done it again, there is no sign of moisture in the lock.
So is there a way in the short term NOT to set the alarm at all -just not setting the 'dog in car system' will not do it.
Just using the key either does not work, please can anyone help the manual is not a lot of help.
