mk2 octavia rear window element !!!!

hi all hope someone can help me have a problem with the 25 amp fuse that protects the rear window element, the 25 amp is melting tried a lower rating ie 15 amp and that is getting very hot can not leave either in or i am going to get a fire.....hope someone can help me thanks...:confused:

Take it to an auto-electrician. Dont be messing with different fuses if you dont know what your doing.

Sounds like you have a short in the wireing rather than a Heater fault, if you cant trace it your self then as above, if the standard fuse is 25a then fitting a 15 is daft, have you tried a new 25a - also check the fuse holder for corrosion/shorting to ground.
