Could anybody point me in the direction of a diagram for the fuse box located in the engine compartment of a 2004 Touran 2.0 TDi Sport?
Many thanks.

To find the unit itself or a schematic of the fuse layout? Are you looking for the fan fuse?

Sorry, I should have made myself clearer. I require a schematic of the fuse layout - I want to check the fuse for my radio/CD player.

It is called SB19 as that fuse box area is called SB but the fuse is numbered F19 on the box itself.

Hi Crasher

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm having problems diagnosing the inoperative electric windows on my 2004 Caddy and I can't find any fuses or relays which supply the windows. Does the fuse box under the bonnet contain anything relevant and if so which numbers?

Acually my problem may not relate to fuses because I do get a click from the window motor or control module when I operate the switch, but the motor doesn't operate. But before I go down the very costly route of new motors/controllers I want to be completely certain that the problem doesn't lie somewhere else.

Any ideas what fuse it is for the tailgate on an 04 touran?

There are multiple different layouts according to spec and year so it depends on the system but UK cars tend to have the convenience system where the power feed is to pin 4 of the 4 pin plug on the green/white wire which is directly from the central convenience system J393 with no separate fuse. Check fuse 29 and 53 on the under dash fuse panel but if it is the type with power from fuse 29, the rear wiper motor will not work either

Hi, I have a 2010 pre new shape Touran Diesel and having a bit of a nightmare getting to know my fuse box...(s) I asked my dealer and they say they cannot give information about fuse lay outs?????? why????? I can't find anything on net apart from pre 2007 models so I bought elsa discs from ebay and that doesnt give any information on fuse box layout. So can anyone let me know how to obtain a fuse box layout diagram.. (mainly the under dash one) Please....

Pop in and see me one day at work and I will work out what you need and print or email them or when you have enough posts to send me a PM, send me your reg number and email.

VAG would struggle to provide a diagram as it would have to be printed virtually for each car that was produced as there are massive year, model and spec variations.

Likewise sorry to hijack the thread but I've got an 08 TDi Touran which has the power sockets that are only live with the ignition on. Is there any way of changing them so that they remain on until the key is taken out of the ignition like I had on my 06 Touran? I need to keep power to them for my kids DVD player.

In May 2008 the feed for the power sockets moved from fuse 27 line 30a in the dash side fuse panel to fuse 30 on the circuit referred to as 75a which is fed from the X relay that is controlled by the ignition circuit. There is a 1.5-mm red/black wire to fuse 30 that could be moved to a permanent live feed 30a such as the one provided by the 80 amp fuse at position 5 on the front of the under bonnet fuse box which provides line 30a power to the dash fuse box at fuses 20, 21, 45, 46, 47, 49, 50, 51 and 52 and there may be a spare slot on the bus bars that a competent specialist who knows about these systems and has the proper connections/crimps, could tap into easily.

My apologies to trespass on this thread. My problem is my ac clutch not engaging. Can you help to locate the relay or fuse for ac clutch?

hi, I,am looking for the fuse for the rear wiper motor on my 2.0 04plate fsi touran, also the boot is not opening but the dash states it is open when not. I think the problem may be related. can anyone help please

That is a rare Touran you have there, in a few years time it will become worth more than it is now when it can be used freely in Toxicity zones where decade newer diesel Touran will get charged at least £10 a day; mind you that is if the boot floor hasn't rusted through and written it off... Yes the two faults are related, the wiper motor washer jets tube leaks into the wiper motor and rots it and the water runs out onto the boot lock and switch assembly where it does the same. The fuse you are looking for is number 29 on the under dash fuse panel but I would not be surprised if it was intact.
