reset service warning on A4 51 reg

As title, does anyone know if I can reset the service due warning on the dash of my 51 reg 1.8t A4? Without a laptop diagnosis ???

put ignition on
when service displays press trip reset button untill service schedule resets

worked on my 52 1.9 tdi
