Hi, My Touran is my eighth VW and I also have a 1994 Golf MkIII 1.8 Boston. That is a Belgian equipment package that was available at that time. Like all my other VWs, it has been amazingly reliable and I can only hope that the Touran, with its high degree of computerisation, will maintain that tradition.

I spent 15 years as a technical advisor, 'rolling road' and engine test-bed laboratory manager in the automotive components industry (with VW as one of our main clients), so I hope that my background will enable me to offer a degree of well-founded advice to others here. I don't doubt that the valuable experience of other VW/Audi owners will also be of benefit to me. That's what forums are there for after all.
