Hello Peeps.
My cars due for a service, can anyone tell me what kind of oil i should get and has anyone got any recommendations as to where to buy service parts from. heres the spec 2001 a4 on a y reg.2.0 petrol. manual.

You need to be using fully-synthetic oil, Mobil 1 is the choice of champions but costly of course. Plenty of other options out there, my advice is to find your local Camberley Auto Factors or other equivalent trade supplier, talk to them about the options they can supply and buy the best quality you can afford. Oh, and make sure your doing an oil change annually, dont wait the 2 years in between normal services.

and can you tell me the spec of the oil i need to use like 503 etc..

Can anyone tell me which one is suitable for my car, the cars done 136k miles. is it the 5w i need to get.

The 5W/30 will be fine for your car.

Yes the 5W is fine, nice of them to make an oil specially for us isnt it! Always wavered towards Mobil 1 myself which is 0W, it costs but its alway done me proud whatever car/bike i've stuck it in.
