Lupo boot

I have a V reg 1.0E lupo and noticed today that my boot lock is not working.. Has anyone else found this problem? Any suggestions for what I should do?

my polo does that

(god after all the posts stating how many things are wrong about my polo it sounds really bad!)

but yeah if you let the boot drop it just bounces a little and refuses to shut unless it is given a good push and slam (which sounds brill at 10pm onwards)

i have not found a solve for it yet as there is nothin wrong with latch (it is free and has a good spring on it) it just will not shut as it should.

i am just going to get a new latch unless anyone knows of a cure?
