hi guys and thank you for the welcome...................... now i have a question, my wifes a3 1997 r reg 1800 non turbo. the insp light has come on .it has just had a good service any ideas anyone on what it means and how do i turn it off .thanks lee

I would go back to the garage that you got the car serviced from and ask them if they reset the service indicator
