Brake Warning

I have just bought a 2004 1.9tdi Highline estate.I was wondering if anybody else has expierienced a STOP brake warning message that only happens when the car is first started and seems strangely weather dependant ie only happens on really cold days?

It might be a slight fault with the brake pedal switch. If you get a code read done it may confirm this or you may have to wait for the fault to get worse.

Mine did this about a year ago in the cold weather, again from a cold start. You will probably find your fluid level has dropped slightly as the pads have worn, I topped mine up and all has been fine since.
