just reg'd with this site my name is Ian, i'm from just west of Glasgow.
i drive a 1997 MK3 Golf VR6, manual

ive only owned this one for a few mth's & at the moment it has covered 96K mile's & is in mint condition.

Looks as though your VR6 has been well looked after.
That's a deep shine you've got on the paintwork.
What cleaning products have you used?

since i got the VR6 ive used mostly Auto Smart product's on the paint but for a quick clean i use Meguiras gold class wax

the body work does not have one trolley (or thumb size) dent any where on it, only areas that will see some attention in the new year are the rear boot/hatch lid (small bubble of rust along the boot lock plastic suround) & 2 light scratches on the bonnet.
ive had all 4 plastic arches of it and there was a light covering of surface rust on the front arches so i took it back to the metal and treated them properly and covered them with hammerite then i bonded the arches back on to help stop dirt & water getting between the plastic and the paint.

ive got a few ideas of what i want to do to the VR6 but nothing that will change the look or running gear, just mainly renew a few suspension bushe's, underseal it & better brake's. with most of my past car's ive been more in to modifiying them but with this one i'd rather keep it as close to standard but feeling like a newer car on the road ;) (hope that make's sence?)
