sharan help!!!!!!!!!!!

:zx11: hi just bought my wife a 1998 sharan 2.0 petrol the problem is it keeps cutting out when cold the revs just drop right down it drives fine and starts fine , would not want anything to hapen with her and the four kids in so have to get it fixed soon, any help is welcome no matter how silly as it could be one of those silly things. the revs do seem to go from 600 to 700 up and down a lot of the time........please help your newbie friend, its my first voltswagen .

What is the engine code?

You could start by having a fault code read but i think you may need the throttle body cleaned,and then run a basic setting

just clean with carb cleaner? what do you mean by basic setting can you change the setting? how much for code reader

well cleaned the throttle boddies with wd40 all is well now. just revs a bit high now lol about 900rpm but l aot better and safer to drive,
