Hi Pesky,

I have a passat 1.9 TDi 1999, just Auto. I find My car does a similar judder/bump
when setting off.

Can you kindly tell me how you managed to fix yours? As i am at a loss for a solution on mine.

Regards

Jum

Have you had the fluid and filter changed? What state was it in?
Could just be expired anti-shudder agent.

Thank you for the quick response.

I purchased the vehicle yesterday and the guy that i purchased it from claims he has changed the gearbox fluid.

After searching through some forums I've realised that the fluid level has to be spot on. I'm guessing the level may not be as required.
Aside from the fluid and filter do you think anything else could be causing the dump/missing?

Kindest regards

Got my car back from the garage today,he says not to worry about it!!! probebly because there is no traffic on the Isle of man. It only happend when i was stuck in traffic across {sorry england) .It does worry me though because I have only 4 months left on waranty and dont want to be left with a huge bill. Gearbox hasn`t had new oil and filter but i will have all fluids done before re-map in July.Thanks.

I am booked in with P-TORQUE in northampton July 26th speaking to Will he says it gives 38-40 bhp increase but even better 80nm torque increase for £275...More importantly he says it wont damage the engine or box........I cant wait am I sad or wot :biglaugh:

no way man, i'm lookin forward to my power increase. Still don't know if my car is the 90 hp or the 110 hp. Either way the increase is very welcome.

I say go for it! :)

My gearbox prob is solved. I have a 99 tdi auto. Had a problem with the gears not engaging when moving off.

The seller offered to fix it by having the sensor changed and the gearbox oil. That didn't work, so he's swapped the gearbox. He's taken the a gearbox out of another working 99 model tdi and put in mine.

So far it's working alright (touch wood!) and hope it stays that way.
