Evening all, I've not given this much thought so if it sounds like a daft question I am sorry
Rather than go outside in the cold it seemed easier to ask you all
In light of news in Essex this morning that three cars were stolen inside 30 minutes when their owners had left the car warming up and unattended,I would like to know the following
If armed with 2 sets of flip keys can I start the car up with 1st set and then lock the car with the 2nd set without the 2nd set activating the immobiliser/alarm etc , and doing something nasty to the computors in the car for example ?
The car in question is 2002 52 B6 A4 2.4 sport cabriolet
Many thanks gang

I simply start the car then manually lock the car with the spare key as the remote will not function when the ignition key is turned past the first position.

There are a serious amount of cars stolen like that this time of year. Insurance won't pay out either I think as they had the keys.

What's to stop the scummers popping the window and driving away?

Bad idea IMHO.
