In the process of cleaning my throttle on my 98 polo 1.4 L, therefore i have no air filter housing around my throttle (that may be relivent?) after cleaning a little i turn it over to my suprise it sounds much sweeter :) but i reved it past 3,000 revs and my oil pressure lamp light came up along with a siren! well this scared me so i turned my engine off straight away, repeated what i just did for a second time just to make sure and it did it again. My engine is overfilled with oil as the previous owners have over filled it and just waiting for a time to change it, would that be it? my engine been over filled with oil and causing a high pressure?
It only had a service 3,000 miles ago and the oil is still gold (but i wish to change it anyway) and the oil filter is not old at all.
this is brand new thing, i have drove it and reved it meny times before and this is first time it has done it and it has not been under strain or been mistreated for this to happen?
i am concerned, can anyone help at all?
