I thought my a4 pcd was 112x5 so i went and got a set with that pcd.
But the holes in the wheels i got dont line up!Its like the pcd should be bigger as the holes in the alloy are too close to the centre.

What is the right pcd for my car?? confused:confused:

This is the 16" wheels on my car

Your PCD is 5x112, so it sounds like the new ones you bought are not!

i know its crazy!
Its even on the inside of the rim, wonder if its a miss print or something....
Will take a snap and show you all.

How do i measuse the pcd on the wheels i bought?

The centre of each of the 5 holes should be 112mm apart.

picture of the stamp on the wheel

im sure they came of a mark 4 golf, which are pcd 5x100 so would that make sense that the holes are closer to the centre?

Mk4 golf is indeed 5x100, so it looks like the stamp is incorrect.

to get the correct pcd size you measure from the outside edge of 1 hole and measure diaginal across the 3rd hole but only measure to the centre.
so outside of hole 1 and to the middle of hole 3.
easy. on 4 stud you measure from hole to hole but again outside to the middle.

hope this helps

there defo 5x100 35-45 57.1
your after 5x112 32-45 57.1

I stand corrected, thanks for that!

Found these on ebay and was looking for some advice as to if they are a good idea.
Because they move the wheel out 20mil how would it affect handling/steering.

Anyone know where i would get them cheaper than €99 per pair?

99euro is a good deal
the cheap sets will only give you vibration as its a hub centric hub and wheel,
you need to pay the price, its a bit of a bummer but 99 euros still ant to bad.
i have paid £130 for a set before but well worth it.
in terms of pushing the wheel out it should'nt give you a problem. when you start going for 20mm + either side it starts to rub and dip the tyre.
you will feel a big gain in the corners for sure.

hope this helps

These ones are only 15mm.
Just want to ask what car had you them on and with what wheel size?
Do i need a different adapter on the back compared to the front?

Im real unsure about these stuffing up the handling of the car when maybe i should just sell the wheels on and get ones with the right pcd

iv had spacers on a few car before but main things were pug 205 dimma 35mm per axle but cost a bomb.
clio dimma 40mm again ££££s
but got a set on an ibiza cupra r now with some 17" brabus 8j 5x112 running 215/40/17 p zero's works very well.

the lower and wider you go the better all round.
but you do loss a hell of a lot of comfort.

what height is the car at now ?

Car is standard height and I'm not gonna lower it as the ABT front bumper is low enough as it is without getting hammered on speed bumps
