Passat 1.9 TDI

Hi guys/gals
Im in the market for a passat 1.9 tdi (130).
Need some advice on what to look out for and why i should get one. I have been told that the Ford mondeo 2.0 tdci is a better option.
Any advice pointers would be appreciated.

Love my passat and would have another 1 next time i buy a car. apart from the problems mentioned in the other post, the main problem i have with the car is that it drives like a boat. Not the best car for sporty driving.
