Yes, It can be done, can't remember how, but it's in the owners manual, something to do with the trip reset button and the time set button, Hope this helps,

yes can be done, switch of car hold odometer zero button down and switch ignition on service will flash, twist the button and hld for 2 sec-its done;)

This will only work properly if the car is not on long life oil. As when you reset it this way the car returns to conventional service mode.
If its on the variable Long life service then it needs to be reset with VAG-com

Another option is to hold down the trip counter reset whilst turning the ignition on, then continue to hold down the trip counter whilst rotating your digital time clock adjuster to the right. This i believe resets the car to conventional service, does anyone know if it can be reset to long life by the dealer on the next service ?
