View Full Version : OBD diagnostic connector NO power

Hi all
Haveing some issuses with my Seat Alhambra 2000 19tdi 110 ps
No : ABS light
No : MANAGEMENT light
Cruse not working
Now when i plug in the code reader it does not power up
Tryed same reader in my skoda works fine
Any ideas

Check fuse 19 in the fuse box

Could this be a ECU fualt ?
on the ECU does the last letter mean any thing or is it that as long as the numbers match

If the diagnostic port has power you should be able to access other control units,

plug in a launch code reader
it does not power up
tryed it in my skoda works fine?
do i need a diffrent type of code reader what type

I shouldn't think so,if it works for the Skoda it should work on Seat,have you checked the fuse i mentioned?

yes checked all the fuses drop the fuse box down checked the hevy fuses at the back
checked the wire out the back of the fuse box had not been cut
checked the wires at the back of the port
red wire had been striped back and retaped the reason i dont know

You should have power on pin 16

no power at pin 16 checked fuse 19 again power across the fuse
cut wire to pin 16 at port and gave it 12v feed ...........reader works
faults
H1 46a3
H2 E
H3 0122 0129c
H4 --
still no management light or abs light
can seem to fine the meaning of these codes as i never got the book with the reader lol
thought i seen a section on the forum for codes cant fined ot now brain freeze i think its
any pointers
