Hi,

2 months ago I had new discs and pads all round, plus the front pistons and calipers were replaced as they piston seals were shot. Before this, the passenger front wheel was sticking on (brakes).

Since then, the brakes have felt great, only thing is I'm noticing the passenger front wheel is starting to stick again - hotter wheel, excess brake dust on alloy compared to other wheels.

What would cause this, considering the brakes have new pad, discs and calipers?

Should I get my plenum chamber checked? It's a 2003 Tdi sport.

Your servo is internally damaged due to it sucking in water when the plenum chamber drains blocked.

will that mean a new servo or will draining the plenum fix it?

No it will be rusty inside. You may need a new master cylinder as well as it will probably look like this.

got a bit twitchy and just checked the plenum myself. Pouring rain, not fun.

The good news is the plenum wasnt blocked. Someones got there before me and removed the bungs.

Will just wait and see what the mechanic says tomorrow about the sticky brake. So relieved :biglaugh:

My money is own brake hoses. They can callapse inside and start to act like a one way valve. Foot pedal pushes pads out but hose only lets fluid back slowly so pads stick. Seen this jam pads and boil fluid.......oops no brakes.

Nearside front brake bind on a 3B is a classic symptom of a rusty servo, I have done dozens of them.
