Hi,
I currently own a Mk3 Golf Gti 8 valve car. I am servicing it at the moment. I have one big problem that is the oil filter. The oil filter is incredibly hard to remove it almost feels like the oil filter is welded to the engine. I have used a chain wrench and that didn't work. I used a spike to hammer through the oil and tried to turn that way but ended up bending the spike rather loosening the oil filter. I sprayed WD-40 on the rubber seal ring and that didn't work either. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
