Whats this??

Hi guys today i got in the passenger seat of my 99 passat to get some letters out which my wife left there and i noticed a large round button well more like a knob anyone know what this is and what it does?.

Where was the knob/button? If it was in the glovebox it could be the vent for aircon cooling of the glovebox, but I'm not sure if they were fitted on your year of car.

as above bud it is vent for aircon to keep your choc bars from melting:D
