Cigarette Lighter Not Working?

Hello,

I accidently dropped a coin in my cigarette lighter hole, whilst my car was turned on, and i saw a few little sparks, so i quickly turned of the car as i was in a right shock.
I removed the coin from the hole which took ages... anyway since then my cigarette lighter doesnt work, i tried to put a phone charger in it and it doesnt work?
I took it to a garage, they checked the fuse and it was fine. they said i may need to get the cigarette lighter unit replaced?

Any thought or advice?

i didi the same thing with mine
dropped a penny in there and blew the fuse

double check the fuse

Thanks for replying mate iv had a look and so has the garage, the fuse doesn't seemed to be harmed at all, it's doesn't seem broken or fused. I will try and put a brand new fuse in fingers crossed that should fix the issue. If not I will be back :)
