no abs light at all and no abs = someone has removed the abs light.
no em light at all= someone has removed the bulb.
no abs light is an mot fail.
im sure if both bulbs are refitted, both will illuminate, so i think you have problems. i presume you purchased this car privately.

think you will fined there is no bulbs for ether

had the speedo head out and cant see where they would fit
seems as if they are leds inside on the ciruit board ?

i am aware this is a mot fail and yes private sale lucky me lol

is there a main fuse for these i have checked the fuses all ok
unless there one missing and i am missing it or is there a relay for these
droped the fuse box down but nothing obvious

thanks for your reply

the first thing you need is a code read. this will tell you why the lights should be on. you need to get the lights working, then fix the fault. have a look in the vag com section for someone local who might be able to help you out.

If it's any small consolation, the rear (aux) heater behaviour is quite normal assuming there is no (or very little) smoke

check all your fuses. have a look at the wires on the back of the obd connector, to make sure none have been cut.

check all your fuses. have a look at the wires on the back of the obd connector, to make sure none have been cut.

fuses fine

checked no 19 ok

checked behind fuse box to see if the wire was cut all fine

checked behind obd socket wires connected fine but the red has been
striped back and retaped ?

checked the heavy fuses main fuses at the back of the fuse box all fine

so if i cant get it to read how do you knoow what the faults are
drives fine but the mot in aprils going to be fun:zx11:

busting my nut:banghead:
