I have a problem with my climatronic unit in my 04 passat. I recently took the unit out (the HU of the climatronic, radio and cd changer) so I could remove the factory installed hands free kit.
The problem I have now is that the climatronic is showing --'C on the outside temperature gauge, and when the lights are on in the car, the LCD screen and buttons do not illuminate. Every other interior light still works however.
I have yet to open the unit up again and give the wires a check, but is there a less obvious reason for this to happen? I have done a search on the forum, and some others have noticed this, however no one has come up with a solution so far.
