led brake lights cause engine managment light problems

I fitted a set of led light's to my Sharan when i started the car the engine managment light came on I also had the carpet out due to spilled milk. I did not think the engine light would have anything to do with the bulbs as they were all working. I took it to a vw garage they spent 5 hours looking for a problem tried a thinking it was a broken wire only for them to tell me it was the bulbs I had fitted that were the cause of the problem 10 min before they had finished not pleased £150 for two bulbs and a rubbish wash :zx11:

I've posted on here before about the dangers of fitting rubbish led bulbs. You must get the resistance correct or the car ecu doesn't like it. It's like detecting a bulb failure. Sorry you got caught like this, it's a common problem on lots of cars.
